Mr. James Randall Mills, age 65, of Mills Creek departed this life on Monday August 18, 2014 at his home. He was born on August 26, 1948 to the late Johnnie and Dorcus Mills. He was a logger and a member of the Mills Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Randall was also preceded in death by six brothers; Darrell Mills, Billie Mills, Estil Mills, Omis Mills, Rev. Silas Wayne Mills and Enis Jay Mills, and two sisters; Anna Lee Mills and Judy Mills.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Charity (Jordan) Mills of Mills Creek, KY., two daughters; Patricia Lynn Dunn of Mills Creek, KY. and Tonia Cupp and husband Floyd of Bell County, KY., two brothers; Raymond Mills and wife Betty of Walker, KY. and Wendell Keith Mills of Flat Lick, KY., one sister, Carolyn Mills of Barbourville, KY., three grandsons; Michael Tyler Cupp, James Dalton Dunn and Mitchell Floyd Cupp, a special cousin, Larry Hensley, a special nephew Jerry Mills and two special little girls he considered his granddaughters, Breanna Faith Farley and Tinsley Mills He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. James Randall Mills will be conducted in the chapel of the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday August 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Tip Smith and Stacy Warren officiating. Interment will be in the Joe Mills Cemetery at Mills Creek. Pallbearers will be Nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Hospice of the Bluegrass, Abigail Byrnes and the staff of the Corbin Cancer Center. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
The Mills family will receive friends at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday August 20, 2014 from 6 until 9 pm and Thursday from 10 am until the hour of service at 2 pm.
