Mr. Owen Grubb, age 76 of London formerly of Mills, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in the Saint Joseph East Hospital in Lexington. He was the son of Hence and Mary Gold Grubb, born to them on July 6, 1938 in Mills, Kentucky. Mr. Grubb was a coal miner, a construction worker, A loving Husband and Father and Enjoyed life to its fullest.. But most importantly He was Saved and Love God. He united in marriage to Gladys Hopkins Grubb and later in life, united in marriage to Brenda Vickers Grubb. Along with his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Delbert Grubb.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Grubb of London, Kentucky; One son, Ray Grubb of Mills, Kentucky; One step-son Doug Slone of Corbin: Three Daughters; Dwonna & husband Rastus Jones of Green Road, , Jwonna Grubb of Green Road, and Becky Grubb of Barbourville, : One step-daughter, Tammy & husband Matt Scott of London, Kentucky: Three sisters, Cleda & husband Donald Ray Mills of Lily, Betty Jean & husband James Prewitt of Barbourville and Roberta Mcfadden of Corbin, : Ten grandchildren, Tabetha & husband Casey Vaughn , Roman Grubb , Justin and Stacey Sizemore, Kayle & husband B.J Baker, Brooke & husband Brandon Foley, Natasha Scott
& fiancé Charley Damron and Matthew Scott, Byron Slone, Keaton Slone and Tatum Slone. Two great grandchildren, Emilee and Evan Sizemore and one boy, Ethan Ray Damron due in June 2015. Mother in law Barbara Stephens, Sister in law Diana &
husband Mike Truett and Lesley Kettle. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Owen Grubb will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Lonnie Collett, Rev. A.Y. Mills and Rev. Ed Wayne Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery at Acorn fork with Roman Grubb, Justin Sizemore, Casey Vaughn, Michael Vest, Lester Grubb and Johnny Collett serving as pallbearers. The Honarary pallbeares Dr Hanna, Dr Romar, Nursing and Aids at St Joes East Lexington.. Matthew Scott, Byron and Keaton Slone.
Friends may call at the Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday, March 8, 2015 after 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Monday, after 11:00 P.M. until the funeral hour at 1:00 P.M. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
