Linda Sue Mills

Linda Sue Jones Mills departed this life on Friday, October 2, 2015 being 68 years 6 months and 9 days of age. She was born on March 23, 1947 in Bell County, Kentucky to the late Fred Baker Jones and the late Bessie Oma Hickey Jones. She was also preceded in death by her four brothers: Jack Johnson, James Thomas Fisher, Charles Edward Fisher, Fred Buford Fisher and three sisters: Dorothy Jones, Wanda Gibson and Dola Winsted. On July 22, 1967 Linda married the love of her life, John, and to this union one daughter was born. Linda loved to shop and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandson. Linda was a faithful member of Horn Branch Baptist Church where she loved to sing and play piano. She had a warm smile and a great sense of humor that will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years John L. Mills, Jr.; her daughter Crystal West and husband Dr. James West of Barbourville; her brother Clifford Fisher of Fairfield, Ohio; one sister Thelma Gilliam of Barbourville; grandson Conor Lucas West and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 3PM at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alvin Dunn, Rev. Dewayne Smith, and Rev. Matthew McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in the Nan Riley Cemetery with Pat Mills, Tommy Mills, Roger Mills, Ricky Mills, Billy Mills and Harold Mills serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. James West and the staff of Knox County General Hospital, the employees of Mills Garbage Service and her nieces and nephews. The Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 6PM until 9PM at Hampton Funeral Home.
