James Dale Poe Moran

James Dale Poe Moran passed away July 23, 2014 in White City, Oregon where he had resided since 1994. Dale was born October 5, 1948 to Jacqueline Claire Green and the late John Robert Poe, Jr. in Maysville, Kentucky. Besides his father he is preceded in death by his step-father, Lloyd Moran and a sister Robin Leigh Moran.

Dale was a 1966 graduate of Knox Central High School. He attended Union College where he was on the swim team. He also attended the University of Miami and Eastern Kentucky University. Dale had an interest in marine biology and geology. Dale served in the United States Marine Corp from 1971 to 1974.

Dale is survived by his mother, Jacqueline Claire Moran of Heidrick, KY, a sister, Hope Morris and husband Dennis of Heidrick, KY, brothers, Mark Lloyd Moran and wife Debbie of Heidrick, KY and Karl Poe Moran and wife Judy of Corbin, KY, an uncle Wayne Dale Poe of Maysville, KY, a cousin Johnny Walker of Maysville, KY and an aunt Edith Lamancusa of St. Petersburg, Florida as well as other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held at Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Moran family cemetery at a later date.
