Sorry, I just found out about Hatim's passing.
I had the privilige to know Hatim professionally during his work in the City of Baltimore.  We became very good friends.  
Hatim was a hard working optomist with a cheerful smile.  He is a great model of prooving that government can be efficient and effective. He was a self driven dedicated professional.  He was highly regarded and well respected for his dedication and hard work - at the same time loved by his pears for his loving care and good heart.
On the personal level he often talked about his family - especially his 2 boys.  I am sorry for your great loss, Hatim was a great man. 
May the blessing of God and the prayer of all the saints be with your family.  God bless you. Sam

Although my relation with Hatim was mostly professional, I was truly proud of him having accomplished so much.  During the short time I worked with him, he achieved more for Baltimore and Maryland than most people would in a lifetime.  I am proud to be associated with him as just another Arab in the energy industry.  I am also very sorry I did not make a bigger effort to know him better.  I can't think of anyone more suited to have the name Hatim than him for his generosity, optimism, charisma and character. I and the entire staff at Pepco Energy who had the privilege of having worked with Hatim will greatly miss him.  Our thoughts and prayers go to you and to him.

I always enjoyed working with him on a project--he could be very funny and witty.  And he certainly knew the mission and got the job done! I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Hatim's passing. Please accept my deepest condolences.

I worked with Hatim in Baltimore City and State goverment and considered him to be a friend but, more importantly, a public servant of the highest caliber.  Almost single-handedly, he brought Baltimore City governent into the modern age of energy performance contracts and best practices for energy conservation.  

Some of my best moments at Baltimore CitiStat meetings occured when Hatim would come to the podium to let City leaders know that, because of an energy database and oversight plan he had put in place, another error in the City's huge energy bills had been uncovered, BGE had been notified and a BIG reimbursement check  was in hand! He was practical, optimistic and believed we could make government work smarter and faster. He did it all with a smile too. 

I am so sorry for the Jabaji family's loss, and our loss as a community. I will miss him very much.
