Debbie is survived by her husband Charles, of 49 years, who was by her side as she left our world. The happy couple was married and lived in Hampden throughout their entire lives.
For 13 years, Debbie held the position of Activities Assistant for Morningside House Assisted Living, where she repeatedly won awards. Her position required much creativity with crafts, exercise, games, trips, parties and entertainment in the Assisted Living community. She was devoted to keeping the residents happy and they loved her in return.
Debbie was loved by many, and over time, she became everyone’s favorite aunt. She loved to cook and entertained as often as she could. Debbie had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to play pranks. It was hard to be around her and not wear a smile. Debbie loved children dearly and quickly adopted all that she met as ‘family.’ Her heart was huge and she did all that she could for everyone. She took very good care of her family and extended family.
Debbie is predeceased by her parents, Marlene and Quentin Coleman, her sister, Tina Wood, and her son, Charles (Chucky) F. Cavey, Jr. In addition to her loving husband, Charles, Debbie is survived by her favorite Uncle, Paul Shaeffer; Loving daughter, Paula Jones and her husband Aaron, and Tommy Fout; dear sister of Mary Janowich and her husband John, and Susan Hesson and her husband William; beloved grandmother of Jasmine Hawkins, Tierra Dates, Alyssa Jackson, Karys Fout, and Kellah Fout; adored great-grandmother of Sophia Coffee; treasured aunt of Lisa Fiore, Charles Dwyer Jr., Christian Martinet, Jason Dwyer, Sheri Brown, Albert Brown, Jessica Miller, Ashton Cavey, and James Morris.
