Troy Payson, 53, passed away peacefully at his home on September 15, 2016 in Bakersfield, Ca. Troy was born on April 19, 1963 and was employed for more than twenty years as an IT Support Technician at Managed Care Systems. He is survived by his father, Howard Payson and brother, Todd Payson (Carol).
"Troymeister", as he was affectionately called by his friends, was a true original. Dealt a rough hand in life, Troy refused to play the victim and instead persevered through many physical challenges to be a productive member of his community by working full time, owning his own home and living life with optimism and courage far beyond the capability of the average person.
Troy loved animals as evidenced by his ownership of two cats and was passionate about music, spending many years as a D.J. with a special fondness for the Beatles. Troy was proud of his extensive collections of vinyl albums, classic Hot Wheels and silver coins. He was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and upon his passing a brick was purchased which will read "RIP Troy Payson Honorary Angel" that will be placed at the Angels Stadium in Anaheim.
We will all miss Troy and we can't help but smile imagining him cruising with John Lennon in his classic yellow Oldsmobile Cutlass up in paradise.
