Timothy J. Ahlf of Bakersfield, CA, passed away on January 29, 2014 with his family by his side. He was born December 19, 1960 in Bakersfield and resided there for the entirety of his life. Tim was the successful owner of Delaney and Ahlf, a diesel repair business, which was started by his father Stanley J. Ahlf and his partner Jack Delaney in 1959.
Tim was married to the love of his life Tara for more then 30 years. Together they had three wonderful boys-Kyle, Garrett and Curtis. Tim was a very loving and supportive father and enjoyed rebuilding cars with son Kyle, watching his son Garrett fly high on his motorcycle, and he loved welding, building projects and outdoor activities with his son Curtis.
Tim was forever working on his many projects. Whether it be for Delaney & Ahlf, for his beautiful home, or just helping out friends and family where ever he could. Whenever he did take time for himself, he enjoyed taking road trips, or going to the central coast, listening to music, going wine tasting and adventurous dining with his soul mate Tara. He was a very kind, generous and loving man who loved his family more than anything. He will be missed by many, many people.
Tim is survived by his wife Tara Ahlf; son Kyle and wife Heather Ahlf, son Garrett and wife Stephanie Ahlf, and son Curtis Ahlf; grandson Jeremiah; sister Sheri and husband Paul Yost; and brother Stuart Ahlf.
He is preceded in death by his father Stanley Ahlf; mother Beth Ahlf; and brother Kim Ahlf.
A memorial service will be held at Valley Bible Fellowship, 2300 East Brundage Ln. Bakersfield, CA 93307 on Friday, February 7th at 1 p.m., reception to immediately follow at Rio Bravo Country Club 15200 Casa Club Dr., Bakersfield CA 93306.
