Sylvia Inell Walls

Sylvia Inell Walls, 90, of Bakersfield, California passed away on September 17, 2013 of natural causes. The funeral service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 2pm.. Reverend Trevor Christmas will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Thursday September 26, 2013. Sylvia was born in Miami, Texas on April 24, 1923 and spent her childhood in west Texas, graduating from high school in Lubbock Texas before relocating to California in 1940. Sylvia was an exceptional seamstress and was the owner of a window covering business for 30 years. She then joined in her daughter's successful business until she was 75 years old. In her retirement she enjoyed cruises, vacations to Hawaii and Paris and spending time with her family. Sylvia is survived by her sons, Mack Walls & Gary Walls; daughters, Zelda (Wade) Loudermilk & Paula (Steve) Brummer; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents, Fay Ella and William Glenn; brothers, Lester, Chester, Cecil, Bill and James Glenn; infant son Buddy Max Walls; grandson, Gary Walls Jr.
