Ruperto Salinas passed away quietly with a peaceful look on his face in his home, surrounded by his family on October 20th, 2022. Born July 1st, 1958, in Tulare, CA. He is the middle child of three, the deceased, Julian and surviving Pauline Salinas. Rupert graduated from Tulare Union as a multisport athlete and continued playing in college. In 1981, he moved to Bakersfield to marry the love of his life, Martha, of 41years and they had three loving children. His Catholic faith and family were everything; many vacations, coaching, gatherings, and providing knowledgeable wisdom. Rupert had three grandchildren that he loved dearly, always making them laugh. He enjoyed food, cooking, gardening, watching sports and his love for animals. Rupert, an M&C Gas Coordinator, retired from PG&E of 39 years January 2022. He was selfless and a hard worker, dedicated a lot of his time to help where needed. Ruperto is survived by his family: beloved wife, Martha; son, Martin and wife Amaris Salinas; daughter, Valerie Salinas; daughter, Victoria and husband Philip Valdez; loving grandchildren, Seraphina and Luciana Salinas and Julian Valdez; brother Julian, Jr., wife Socorro Salinas and family; sister, Armida and numerous family and friends. We love and miss you Dad!
