Rudy Evaro Lara was born on March 25, 1955 in Pecos, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father Roberto Lara and his brothers Robert, Gilbert, and Abel. He survived by his mother Maria Evaro, sisters Yolanda and Albesa.
He was father to Asa, Gilbert and Mykle who loved him dearly and looked up to him. He was also a loving grandfather with countless nephews and nieces that adored him.
Rudy lived in Pecos until he relocated to Bakersfield, California in 1972 where he worked as a highly-skilled carpenter for 30 years and clearly loved every minute of it. Not only was he creative, resourceful and passionate in his profession, but these were also the same qualities he brought into his personal life and especially to those that he loved.
Rudy was a devoted father, a loyal friend, an amazing brother, and a loving son. He was loved deeply by his aunts cousins nieces and nephews. His love and loyalty will remain in our hearts forever.
A visitation for Rudy will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306.
Celebration of Life will occur Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 3:00 PM, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306. Graveside service will follow with him being Laid to rest in Garden of Peace.
