Robert "Bob" Wayne Miller

Robert was married to Diane for 51 amazing years and had two daughters ,Brenda Woods husband Scott and Sandy Johnston husband Kevin, and four grandchildren: Kristen, Ashley, Erika, and Ryan.

Bob was born and raised in Taft, Ca. He moved to Ukiah, CA where he met the love of his life Diane. They married in July of 1967 and quickly grew to a family of four with their two daughters Brenda and Sandy. Bob moved his family to Bakersfield back in 1970 and became an auto body technician with Jim Burke Ford for over 40 years.

Bob was born with a passion deep in his soul for the all things outdoors that involved hunting or fishing. His desire to hunt or fish led him to many adventures with his brother and friends all across the United States from California To Nebraska. Many of times he would even take Diane out into the ocean to bring home some salmon to can for them and family. When it came to hunting the fields his partner was always his faithful dogs. The bond that Bob had with his dogs was not only evident out in the fields during hunting but also at home just hanging around the house. It was truly a team of one!!! Without a doubt, Bob found his peace and joy in the outdoors and is now in heaven carrying on!!!

Bob's other passion in life was cooking. He figured if he hunted it, caught it then he better know how to cook it. He loved cooking for family and all his friends. He would spend hours watching the cooking shows and adapting those recipes to his liking making sure he shared them all with us so we could go home and try it ourselves. Problem was we could never do it as good as him.

While Bob (Dad) is gone he will always be in our hearts and memories for eternity and we will unite someday in heaven. Until then daddy we love you and will miss you!!!

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hillcrest Park and Mortuary on November 26th, 2018 at 2pm. Graveside services only.
