After moving to Bakersfield, Peggy attended Casa Loma Elementary School, Golden State Jr High & graduated from BHS in 1955, where she met her BFF, Dee.
She met her future husband, Frank Robertson in 1956 and they were married in July, 1957. Peg & Frank had a son, Mitchell, and 2 daughters, Marcelle & Maureen.
In 1963, after working in the tile industry for some years, Frank & Peg started their own business, Robertson Tile, which remained in business until 2009.
As her children grew, she was always involved one way or another in PTA, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, swimming, Bobby Sox softball (being the 1st President of the league here in Bakersfield), and their music (piano) lessons. Raising them in church was also important to her; encouraging a relationship with Jesus. Peggy was a stern, strict mother, but knew that would instill qualities in her children to benefit them as adults.
Summers growing up meant weeks of camping at the beach or Huntington Lake with Dee's family, where so many wonderful memories were made.
She also was a member and past President of the Bakersfield Women's Club, where she met and formed close relationships with Mary Lou, Maddie & Mary, calling themselves, "The Golden Girls". For years, they met weekly for lunch & cards, and many trips together, until her decline.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents and her brother. She is survived by her son Mitchell (Alba), daughter Marcelle and daughter Maureen (Al). Also grandchildren Joshua (Jessica), Marissa, Mariah (Tyler), Jeffrey, Michael and Morgan. And including her great-grandchildren, Avery, Austin, Amelia, Aiden, Finn, Aubrielle, Chase & Hazel.
