She attended Standard School, Bakersfield High School, Bakersfield College and San Jose State University. She was well respected as a business secretary and as a Business English teacher, among other subjects, at Bakersfield College. She actively volunteered in her community, especially with the Kern County Basque Club and Saint Francis Altar Guild.
Orelie married Don Franklin Clark in 1966 and they had three children: Frank, Valerie and Susan. She was always involved in her children's lives from cub scout and girl scout leader to fun at Pismo and Laguna beaches.
Orelie brought joy to so many people and was always available to give her support or sound advice.
She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-laws: Susan and Rudy Clark-Luera, Valerie Clark and Emigdio de Moya. Also surviving ‘Granny O’/‘Amatxi’/’Auntie O’ are her grandchildren: Isabel, Emigdio, Diego, and Marina; brother Maurice Ansolabehere; brothers and sister-in law Bill, Steve and Irene Clark; nieces, nephews Joe, Steve, Paul, Louie, Tony, Monique, Helene, Denise and Marca and their families.
She was predeceased by mother Marie Ansolabehere Goni, father Gratian Ansolabehere and stepfather Juan Goni; her husband Don F. Clark and son, Franklin D. Clark; brother and sister-in-laws George, Marcelle and Carol Ansolabehere; nephews John Ansolabehere and Cosmo Clark.
The funeral will be celebrated on Thursday, September 19th.
