Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Mortuary on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. Church service will be held the following day Friday, July 23 at 11: 00 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Arvin . Interment will be at the Bakersfield National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
Oralia Perez Patlan was born in Yuma, AZ on September 25, 1925 and passed away on June 19, 2021 in Bakersfield, CA, surrounded by her loving family. Oralia worked primarily raising her 5 children and performed some farm labor work during the summers. She was wonderful and caring mother, deeply spiritual, bubbly personality who loved the Lord, her family and life. She loved gardening, doing search-a-word puzzles, and listening to music.
She is survived by her 5 children: daughter Sarah Pridemore of Michigan; son Tomas G. of Bakersfield, daughter Bea of Temple City; sons Salvador and Steven of Arvin. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren , 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all!
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tomas F. Patlan, her parents Cornelio and Sara Perez, her 11 siblings, and granddaughter Candelaria Patlan. Pallbearers will be: Steve Patlan, Tomas M. Patlan, Steve Rhonemus, Ernie Lopez, Alvie Ramos, and Sergio Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearers: Sal Patlan and James K. Pridemore.
