Mary V Marmolejo

Mary V. Marmolejo went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 2, 2012. She was born on January 2, 1932 in Holtville, CA to Filemeno and Dolores Valenzuela. She is survived by her Loving and Caring Husband of 57 years Felipe. She has been reunited with her son Phillip, her parents Filemeno and Dolores and brothers Carmen and Frank. She leaves behind her daughter-in-law Cynthia, daughter Teri, spouse Paul Sisemore, daughter Mary spouse Raul Castaneda and son Joe spouse Elena, along with 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Mom grew up in Arvin and waited for Dad to return from the Army and they married in 1955. They moved to Bakersfield where they raised 4 children. Mom was a hard worker, she helped support her family along with her 10 siblings, Carmen, Lupe, Julia, Anna, Hilda, Lola, Joe, Frank, Rosie and Manuel. Mom's legacy is her Faith and Family. She was a Nina, Comadre, Tia and Friend to many. Throughout mom's life and illness, her faith never wavered. Mom never complained of her illnesses. She lived by the Serenity Prayer. We have received and learned much from her and will forever be grateful. A Rosary will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in the chapel on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 7pm and a Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 10:00am followed by a graveside service at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
