Mary S Lopez

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Mary Sierra Lopez, age 89, of Lamont CA, passed away January 9, 2017. Mary was called home to our Lord surrounded by her family after losing a short battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sophia Lopez, and is survived by David, her husband of 64 years, and her four children: Susie Lopez-Flud (Michael), David Lopez Jr. (Carmen), Robert Lopez, and Sandra De La Rosa (Alfred). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.Mary was a loving and caring women with an infectious laugh, who always had a place for you at the table and a story to tell. She was a devoted wife, dedicating her time to being her husband's caretaker. When she wasn't in the kitchen trying out a new recipe or making tortillas, that everyone fought over, she was tending her garden. Mary wondered if her granddaughters would ever get married and worried about having enough confetti for the confetti eggs. She lived for her family. Grandma was a beautiful soul whose loss is keenly felt by those who knew her.
