Marilyn June Froehlich

Marilyn June Froehlich Born June 1, 1937, passed away November 9, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. Marilyn moved to Bakersfield in 1952 where upon she graduated from East High in 1955. She was married to Raymond Froehlich for 27 years until his death in 1998. Marilyn was employed by May Company jewelry department for several years and later became a sales associate at Dress Barn in Rosedale, near her home. Her great sense of style and pleasant personality attributed to her success at Dress Barn. Customers would frequently request her personal assistance while shopping. Marilyn made lasting friendships both with staff and clientele during her employment. She retired from Dress Barn in 2012 at 75 due to declining health. Despite her illness, Marilyn always had a cheerful disposition and on limited income, always managed to send checks to those less fortunate. Ever the caring person, she rarely missed sending birthday cards to family and friends. Marilyn is predeceased by Raymond Froehlich (husband), sisters, Betty Sharpnack, and Lorraine Johnson. She is survived by sister, Arlene Caton, brothers, Willis Anderson, Eldo Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1P.M. November 21, 2013.
