Maria Guadalupe Silva

She is preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Silva, two daughters, Mercedes Silva, and Carolina Celio, her parents and siblings. She is survived by Gloria Vega, Anna "Becky" Lomeli, Yolanda Franco, Alejandro Silva, Beatriz Durick, Patricia Silva, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She enjoyed traveling, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She attended the First Hispanic Baptist Church. It was one of her highlights joining her dear friends in praising the Lord. She taught herself to read and write Spanish and later English. In her sixties, she decided to get her driver's license. She took pride when she became a U.S. Citizen, making a point to vote in every election. She enjoyed nature, and she valued life.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 5-9 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 10:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel.
