Lois Kathryn Burens was born in West Elizabeth, Pennsylvania to Walter and Margaret Sharpnack on August 20, 1919. After 50 years living in Kern County Lois passed away in Bakersfield, California on December 18, 2010. Mrs. Burens will be having a visitation Tuesday December 21, 2010 from 4:00p.m. through 8:00p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday December 22, 2010 at 11:00a.m. at the Unity Church of Bakersfield on E st. and Truxton with a burial at Union Cemetery to follow. Lois is survived by her children Jerome Burens Jr., Thomas Burens, Donna Jones, Bobby Burens, Lisa Wall, grandchildren Denise, Angela, Kenny, Bobby, Michelle, Brad, Jerome III, Heather, Blacke, Missy, Kristen and numerous great grandchildren
