We also have many fond memories of Al and Helen in Brazil.  One of them is when Al came out to Betania to help type up the constitution of the mission.  He sat outside with an old typewriter on a little desk, swatting the bugs away as he typed.  Both Al and Helen were true soldiers of the Cross. We have fond memories of Al and Helen, both in Bible college at Bethany and on the field in Brazil. One fun thing I remember is that whenever any of us Bethany missionaries got to the end of a month and were short on supplies--food particularly--Al and Helen would get wind of it and invite us over for a meal or give us a bunch of vegetables or whatever they had left.
