Kathleen Konstantine Elkins

Kathleen Konstantine Elkins was born July 30, 1947, in Shanghai, China. She is preceded in death by her parents Marion C. Konstantine and James E. Konstantine. Kathleen leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Dennis Elkins and loving son, Justin Paul Miranda, along with her granddaughters, Brooke Miranda and Heather Calhoun. Kathleen also leaves behind her dogs, Henry, Toska, Truxtun and Sophie. Kathleen joins her two other dogs that met her in Heaven, Lucky Digger and Selma. Kathleen also leaves behind her two sisters, Marilyn Eileen Scott and Bobbie Lynn Hensley, her nephews, Stephen Lee and Jason Hensley and niece, Marnie Marfil. Kathleen had a variety of activities that she participated in throughout her life. In addition to being a homemaker, she attended Bakersfield College. Kathleen most of all enjoyed her pets. She was very kind to animals and always put others before herself. Kathleen also enjoyed watching the older television programs such as Andy Griffith and Touched by an Angel. She enjoyed reading and the art of writing. She truly loved God and believed in the power of prayer. Kathleen was an inspiration to many and will be greatly missed by her family, friends and pets. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 24th, from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Mish Funeral Home, 120 Minner Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93308. Mish Funeral Home
