John Floyd Perry was born on December 16, 1939, in DeQueen, Arkansas, to George and Liza Perry. The youngest boy of seven children, he moved to McFarland, California, around the age of 10 and lived in Kern County for 74 years.
John was truly one of a kind. He was a hardworking, proud, and honorable man who lived life on his own terms, always alongside his beloved late wife, Barbara Perry. He cherished the outdoors and spent his 24 years of retirement doing what he loved most: hunting, trap shooting, and fishing.
John is pre-deceased by his wife, Barbara Perry and son, Daren Perry; and is survived by his daughter, Debbie Rosson (Eddie); his stepdaughter, Donna Langston; his brother, Dale; and his sister, Joyce. He also leaves behind two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren, whom he adored deeply.
Honoring John's wishes, there will be no formal memorial services. Instead, let us celebrate his life by cherishing the memories and reflecting on the lasting impact he had on those around him.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Nguyen at Rio Bravo Cancer Center, as well as Dr. Jared Salvo and Dr. Foster Campbell, for their compassionate care.
