So many things I forgot to say during my part. Pop didn't just have a way with people, he even had a way with animals. He always acknowledged every person and creature that crossed his path. All of our animals loved him, even if he didn't have a treat for them, which was very rare. They were always at his side whenever he would come over. Everyone, human or not,  enjoyed being around him.

Red was as good a man as I ever met.He let an impression on me to try to be a better person myself. He will be missed.

Joyce, Robin and girls, I have so many wonderful memories of Red. For those few brief years when I had the honor to be his pilot, I learned more from him about the kind of person I wanted to become than from anyone else I ever knew. I remember a man who was tough as nails and gentle as velvet all at the same time. He had more integrity, generosity, good humor and love of his fellow man than anyone else I've ever known. I considered him in many ways a second dad to me. It was a great good fortune in my life to have known and served him. He will be greatly missed but a part of him will always be flying along with me. God bless and comfort you all.

Mr. Meacham and I had a love hate relationship. He was Thirkettles greatest fan & I rooted for Ruttman. But this never kept him from extending his hand, a smile on his face and asking how I was doing. I"ll miss ya ol' man. Enjoy the best seats in the stands.

We were very fortunate to know such generous person. Please know that we are thinking of you and praying for peace and comfort.

Having been your neighbor for years I want you to know that my kids really thought highly of your husband, I don't know what it was but there was something special....I believe the words written in his obituary tell me what it was.  We are all so sorry to hear this news.  We will miss his waves and smiling face which he always offered when we saw him in passing; Mrs. Meacham, we will still look forward to yours!  I'm sure for all those that knew him or knew of him he will not be forgotten....

I met "RED" in Bakersfield Memeorial Hospital.  I know he will be sorely miss by his love ones.

Greg is my cousin and even though contact with him was infrequent, I never forgot how he would ALWAYS make me feel like I was special whenever I did see him. May God bless him for his kind, generous life and the happiness it provided to many.

I've known the entire Meacham family since early childhood as our back yards joined when they lived on Virginia Street and we lived on Monterey. Always loved the family and when I look at this picture, I have memories of this kind and gentle man that I have known most all my life...even though not in contact for years.  My prayers are with your family.  May God be your comfort and peace.

I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Red (always Byron and Robyn's dad in my thought and memories). He and his family were a cherished very important part of my life growing up; Byron my best friend through school and beyond, Robyn his sister and mother Joyce (Juanita as she often called herself when sending us to shop her coupons and pick up lunch at the Sinaloa. Red was usually at work during those years. I fondly remember his always, when home, taking his time to help us with fixing some little project and pulling my too long hair back from my eyes. In later years, working for him at TIMEC on the central coast. Red was always a great example of the meaning of a loving great family man. He will be missed.

It is so nice to see so many people that loved Papa Red so much.  there will never be another like him.  He was the best Papa.

My dad is Ed Sherman. He worked with Red for many years and thought the world of him.  I know that my dad would want you to know that he is praying for you all and Joyce, he totally understands how your are feeling right now.  It always made my dad's day when Red would call him to visit and he will be greatly missed!

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Red was our employer, friend, mentor, and the most kind gentle, and helpful person we have ever known.  He was always the encourager and willing to help with any thing we needed.  There are so many wonderful memories to cherish from just knowing Red.  May GOD bless him and all the family - we love you all.

Aunt Joyce,  I am so sorry that Uncle Greg has passed away.  I cannot tell you how often we ( Jeff and myself ) have shared memories of Jeff's childhood. We pray for both you and Uncle Greg.  Jeff and I named our son Gregory Michael White~ after Uncle Greg and Michael after my grandfather.  We dearly love you and want to help your family any way we can.  You and Uncle Greg always have been so good to us.  I am so sorry for not being in touch with you- like we should have.  Aunt Joyce being married to Jeff for a long time- now,  I know how blessed we are being married to men of the Meacham  family line!  Strong men.  Honest and sincere.  Good men.  I want you to know that Jeff and I love and respect you both. Please remember~  we will continue to pray for you, Robin and your grandchildren.  We love you both.
