Irvin Taylor Barron, 83 years old, from Bakersfield, CA, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Irvin was born August 12,1939 in San Bernardino, CA to James and Josephine Barron. He served as a Lance Corporal rifle instructor in the United States Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge in November 1962. He married the love of his life, LaDawna Barron, on December 4, 1966. During their 54 year marriage, Irvin and LaDawna never spent a day apart from each other. They enjoyed traveling all over the United States, visiting relatives, taking drives to Kernville, going to the beach, and fishing off the pier. In his spare time, Irv loved being in his garden growing vegetables and tending to his fruit trees. Irvin was always in a great mood, singing boisterous songs and loving life.
Irvin was the proud owner of the Original Baron’s Auto Parts. He was a hard worker and liked helping people. When you came into Baron’s, Irv treated everyone like family. He enjoyed telling stories, cracking jokes, while making everyone feel welcomed.
Irvin was also a member of Central Seventh Day Adventist church. He was a man of faith, and it was evident his entire life. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life”John 3:16
Family meant everything to Irvin. His family was so blessed to have his love and guidance in their lives. His children were grateful that Irv and LaDawna taught them the importance of family.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, La Dawna Barron. He is survived by his daughter, Jeannine and her husband Tim Paddock, his son Michael and wife Lilia Barron, daughter Jennifer and her husband Chris Amble, grandchildren Taylor and his daughter Lacey Paddock, Tanner and his wife Mikennah and Amelia Paddock, Alyssa Paddock, Paige and Mason Amble.
Irvin leaves a beautiful legacy and touched the lives of all who knew him.
A graveside service for Irvin will be held Monday, March 20, 2023 at 10:45 AM at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd., Arvin, CA 93203.
