He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn (Bell) and father, John Leslie and his infant sister, Janet Louise. He is survived by his brother Howard (wife Dana) of Hawaii, and brother, Gordon (wife Georgianna) of Bakersfield. 5 nieces, 2 grandnieces and 1 great-grandnephew. Plus, numerous other relatives.
Thanks to his parents' support and dedication Glenn led a very active life. He was an Eagle Scout; At the Special Olympics he won a bronze medal for the butterfly at the World Special Olympics Games in Connecticut in 1995. He worked at BARC for many years. He participated in the Debonair special dancing, BARC Bowling League and traveled with BARC co-workers to Hawaii and Alaska along with extensive traveling with his family. He loved music of all kinds and was particularly fond of WWF and The Hulk. Glenn lived a long, fulfilled life and those whose lives he touched will miss his warm greetings and big smiles.
The family would like to acknowledge his mentor, Kenny Honor and caregivers, Tish Lewis, and Jewelean Adams, for the wonderful care you provided for the last several years, it was greatly appreciated. Also, a very heartfelt thank you goes to Bristol Hospice. Thank you everyone for all your support.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service held in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel, on Friday May 19, 2023 at 1:00pm, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA.
