Garry Roger Larson

Bakersfield Garry Roger Larson, 74, passed away March 6, 2023. A Bakersfield native, he was born June 19, 1948 to Roger and Melba Larson. He was a proud East High School graduate and attended Bakersfield College. Garry had an excellent work ethic and strived to excel in the workplace. He retired from Nestle Ice Cream in June 2014.

Garry loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, and most especially, four-wheel drive excursions in his Jeep CJ7. He was always ready to share stories of family camping trips and treacherous Jeep trails that he had traversed. He collected antique tools, enjoyed his home, and could often be found in his recliner watching his favorite game shows.

Garry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marcia, daughter Tracy (Bryon), son Jeff (Mykalla), grandchildren Ruby and Franklin, sister Linda, and nephew Rick Faccinto.

Garry loved being with his family and watching his children and grandchildren grow up.

A graveside service for Garry will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
