JUNE 12, 1990 – MAY 4, 2011
Floyd Hanford Warren was born June 12, 1990 to Rodney and Linda Warren. Floyd was better known as “Medad” through his childhood and later as a teenager acquired “Wote”. Floyd was born in San Pablo, CA, and moved to Bakersfield, CA at the age of three where he lived all his life, until three months ago. He then moved to Oklahoma City, OK. Floyd attended Stine Elementary Thompson, Jr. High and West High School.
At a young age, Floyd confessed Christ and accepted him as his personal savior. Every Sunday morning, the excitement was getting dressed and ready to ride the big church bus. For all of you who know the So. Real Garden Posse, that included all the Warren and Tomlin siblings. From knee high on up, they made many memories growing up together. They enjoyed the neighborhood kid’s club, terrorizing So. Real Gardens and keeping Stine Elementary on lock. When you saw one of us, you knew the crew wasn’t far behind. In Junior High, Floyd enjoyed playing football for the RAMS. Soon after, Floyd entered high school. He discovered the passion and talent for cutting hair. He was quick to criticize a haircut that wasn’t his, because he knew his was the best. Somewhere along the line, he inherited the “clean freak” genes right along with his siblings. Floyd enjoyed socializing. He had a great sense of humor that kept his family and friends laughing. His beautiful smile would light up a room, it was one of kind. He showed true affection for keeping his family together.
Even though we think his time here on earth was short lived. An angel came and took his hand and said: “The Master beckoned you with a finger of Love. He’s chosen to take you and wrap you in his bosom where you will remain in perfect peace.” He flew into the golden skies to join his grandparents Hanford and Mayme Warren, grandmother Rosie Williams and brother Kyle Warren. He leaves behind to cherish his memories:
