Filomeno “Phil” Patino, Jr, of Bakersfield, CA, passed away unexpectedly on October 04, 2022. He was only 50 years old. His family and friends are both devastated and shocked by his death. It's hard to put into words the heartbreak we feel. He will be truly missed in so many ways. Husband, Father, Son, Brother....
Phil was the one person you could always count on to make you laugh and give a helping hand. He loved spending time with his family and was extremely devoted to his faith in God. Phil was so much more than his struggles. He loved sports and was a big Raiders fan as well as the Dodgers. He also was a big fan of Nascar and enjoyed going to races. Phil loved being a volunteer for church functions and his children's school functions. He was blessed to still have so many of his childhood friends in his life along with all the many new friends he made working for the Bakersfield City School District for over 22 years. His warehouse family along with the countless people he knew at all his school sites meant so much to him. He never knew a stranger and would always make you feel welcomed. He would do almost anything for a laugh and always enjoyed a good joke. Anyone that knew Phil, knew he had such a big heart. He'd give you all that he could even if it wasn't his to give. He could make you laugh even when you were mad at him. Phil loved his family deeply and had a huge group of friends. He was a very hard worker, dedicated and determined to provide for his family and give them a good life. His family meant more to him than anything and he was very proud of his three children. The last few months of his life were lived with positivity and determination to not let his health keep him from doing the things he loved.
We hold you close within our hearts,
And there you shall remain,
To walk with us throughout our lives,
Until we meet again.
So, rest in peace dear loved one,
And thanks for all you've done.
We pray that God has given you
The crown you've truly won.
Phil is survived by his wife Carrie; children Ashley, Lyndsey, and Ryan; parents Filomeno and Antonia; siblings David, Lucy, Lupe, and Coco; Maternal grandmother; Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
