

He was a talented, unpretentious, and humble gentleman who will be remembered for many reasons, including his love for his family, his church, and his music.
A devout Christian, he freely shared his talent with many local and abroad organizations.
He was especially active in the church that he loved so much, Branded Heart Fellowship in Bakersfield, CA. His music and friendship will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ed was a loving husband to Robby. They were Blessed with 40 years of marriage.
He was a loving father to Cindy Kubicka and Candy Shelton, stepfather to Rhonda Pensinger. He loved his children but held a special place in his heart for his six grandchildren and 2 grand-daughter’s-in-law.
Ed also leaves behind sisters Sallie, Amanda, Jessie, Rose, Carolyn, Donna and Peggy and brothers Robert and James. All of which he treasured so much!
Ed was a true patriot, having served in the Airforce from 1961 – 1964 as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam war. His service to his country meant the world to him and he was very proud and honored.
He enjoyed playing golf (and feeding the ducks and turtles) with many friends and family members.
He lived his life to the fullest and will forever be greatly missed.
Ed was preceded in death by his mother and father, three brothers and one step-grandson.
On behalf of the family, we are thankful to have shared Ed with you all and are deeply moved and overwhelmed by all the heartfelt condolences for the loss of our precious father. He meant the world to so many and we are thankful for the time we had with him and his delightful humor, music and overall, his love for everyone he met. Until we meet again dad, we love and miss you!
A graveside service for Edward will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, California 93306.
