Mrs. Edna Mae Ballard

December 29, 1913 - September 24, 2010 Edna was born in Boswell, OK December 29, 1913 and went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 24, 2010 in Bakersfield, CA. Edna, Mother, Grandma was 96 years old when she passed. Edna grew up and lived in Oklahoma and Texas. She moved out to California with her husband and children in 1943 from Childress, TX. She lived the rest of her life in Bakersfield, CA as a homemaker. She was a devoted member to her church, Niles Assembly of God. She was a member of the WM's, a Sunday school teacher, and in later years a member of the Florence Garden Silver Tones Choir. She loved yard sales and was an expert candy maker. She is preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters, her son-in-law, Dr. Richard West; and her husband of 52 years Frank Ballard. She is survived by her children: daughter, Billie (Paul) Maxwell; son, Kenneth (Harriet) Ballard; and daughter, Jerrie West; grandchildren, Kathy, Debbie, Kenny Paul "Buddy", Teresa, Ken, and Candi; six great-grandchildren and one great- great grandchild. A private interment will be held at Sunrise Lawn.
