Donnie was born in Bakersfield, CA on July 30, 1976 and unexpectedly passed away on September 26th 2013. Donnie graduated from Redmond High School in Oregon and joined the US Navy after graduation serving on the USS Independence Aircraft Carrier stationed out of Japan. After leaving the military, Donnie returned to Bakersfield to be close to his large family and worked for Geo Drilling Fluids. Donnie had just purchased his home at the Kernville Camp this year. Donnie was a very special man, known for kindness, generosity, great story telling and a quick smile. He loved to play golf with his dad, cousins and uncles and shooting with his mom and stepdad. He is survived by his parents Pam and Jim Myrick, Ed and Sheila Drewry, sister Sandy, her husband Scott Brown along with his nieces Brooklynn Willeford, Alyssa and Aubrey Brown and nephew Taylor Williford, stepsister Aimee Hogan and stepbrother Brian Hogan. Donnie was also very close to all of his cousins who thought of him as a brother and his Aunts and Uncles who loved him so very much. We are all the better for knowing him and will miss him beyond measure. Services will be held at Hillcrest Mortuary on October 5th at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be available on Friday the 4th from 12pm to 8pm.
