Dolores Woodward was born in New Cumberland, WV on June 22, 1934 and passed away June 29, 2017 at the age of 83 in Bakersfield, CA. She was preceded in death by her sister Freda Willey; her brother Charles King; her husband Donald Woodward; her son Samuel Woodward; and her great grandson Ethan Alen Stanley. She is survived by nine children Dawn De La Cruz of Lompoc, CA; Cheryl Woodward of Lompoc, CA; Dan Woodward of Flippin, AK; Carol Stanley of Bakersfield, CA; Max Woodward of GA; Belinda Leek of Middlebourne, WV; Frankie Paredez of Rialto, CA; Dara Wesneski of Wescosville, PA; Dory Woodward of Mechanicsville, VA; her two sisters Audrey Clifton of KY; and Laura Cochrane of Bullhead City, AZ; along with 25 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Some of her hobbies included going to yard sales, collecting memorabilia like Coca-Cola, Mickey Mouse and she loved writing poetry. She enjoyed doing puzzles, both jigsaw and crosswords, however her most prized possession was her large collection of bears.
She had a very long extended family which is where she got many of her nicknames like Dee, Big Momma and G'Ma.
The family would like to thank Rebecca Stanley and Rosa Orozco for the endless hours, the unconditional love, the dedication and the compassion in caring for Grandma, we could not have done it without them. Additional thanks to the caring hospice staff from Gentiva Hospice.
