Thank you so much for stopping to talk with me at Brookdale this afternoon.  Your time and comments are greatly appreciated.  Though  your Dad's time here was short, it was special and memorable.  I would have treasured knowing him soooner.  

This afternoon, I called our mutual dermatologist, Dr. David Elbaum, to update him.  A few months ago, Derrill said, "The sun rises and sets on David Elbaum.  He saved my life twice" by corectly and speedily diagnosing a condition other doctors had told him were not a problem.   Today, the doctor responded , "Derrill and Carmen were the best patients I have ever had in my 34 years of practice. I loved them both."    Then he added. "I'm crying,"

The many friends he made in his brief time at Brookdale feel the same. May God bless you all.
