Dena Fay Anderson

On Saturday, May 14, 2022, Dena Fay Anderson, passed away at the age of 86 in Bakersfield California. Dena was born to Ernest and Maudena Berry on April 6, 1936, in Phoenix Arizona. She was married to her one and only love Max L. Anderson in 1952 until his passing in 1982. They had two children Max Anderson and Kelly Russell.

Dena worked as a LVN serving the Bakersfield community for most of her life. She was at her happiest when her family was gathered around her. Her love for God, family and others will be how she is memorialized. Dena enjoyed singing in the church choir and attending church events. She had an affinity for gardening and loved to see the birds outside in the trees and fluffy clouds.

She is preceded in death by her mother Maudena Berry, brother John Berry, husband Max L. Anderson, Father Ernest Berry, and nephew John Berry.

She is survived by her daughter Kelly Russell, son in law Donnie Russell, son Max L. Anderson, Daughter in law Chyrise Anderson, grandson Dustin Russell and spouse Brandee Russell, granddaughter Amanda Evangelista and spouse Alex Evangelista, grandson Adam Schutte and spouse Brianna Schutte, granddaughter Kristin Schutte, grandson Andrew Anderson and spouse Jessalyn Anderson, Great grandson’s, Braden Hawk, Mason Russell, Conner Russell, Israel Schutte and Liam Anderson, Great granddaughters, Jillian Grace, Isabelle Schutte, Sophia Schutte, and Grace Evangelista, Brother Earl Berry and sister in law Linda Berry. Along with many other nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Friday May 27, 2022, at 1:00pm. There will also be a viewing available on Thursday May 26, 2022, from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm. Both services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary 9101 Kern Canyon Rd. Bakersfield, California 93306. Flowers can also be delivered here.
