Beverly Ann was born in Stoutland, Missouri to George and Gladys Shockley. She leaves her grieving and loving husband of 38 years, Harold "Bud" Lee; and children, Kim (Dirk) Crownover of Anaheim, Forrest Lee (Tina) of Bakersfield, Brian Lee (Tressa) of Bodfish, Kathryn Lee of Berkeley, and Janon (Stanley) Truttman of Coarsgold. Bev's grandchildren include Joshua, Samantha Jo, Sean, Rachelle, Michael, LeAndra, Joshua, Cameron, Chelsey, and Chase; and great granddaughter, Paityn Ann; sister, Mary Jo Darling of Los Angeles; brother, Robert (Mary) Shockley of Richland, MO; and many loving cousins, mostly of Missouri. Beverly was a well-accomplished woman. In high school track, Bev was the fastest hurdler, boys or girls! Bev also possessed a beautiful singing voice, singing soprano in high school Glee Club and Girls Trio. On graduation from high school, Bev attended S.W. Missouri State in Springfield, MO and then was employed by Homestake Mining Company in Grants, N.M. Moving to California, Bev became the legal secretary for Global Van Lines in Anaheim, CA. After moving to Bakersfield, Bev was employed by Chevron, USA, later becoming secretary to the Legal Department. After retiring, Bev became president of Chevron Retirees Association. Beverly received many commendations from Chevron and made many beautiful friends. Viewing will be Thursday, Jan. 6th, from 4-8 p.m., at Hillcrest Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road; with the Funeral and Celebration of Beverly's life, also at Hillcrest, on Friday, Jan. 7th.
