Betty Fay Ellis born on December 17th, 1946, in Leesville, Louisiana to the proud parents of Ruby Lee Island and Curtis Bradshaw. Betty attended school at LG pinkston, she grew up with four siblings who are Veola Sullivan, Lenora
Chatman, Patricia Island and Curtis Bradshaw Jr. With her mother out providing for her and her siblings, her eldest sister Veola would look after her, and her
siblings. Betty always talked about how much she loved and missed her, she would talk about the memories they all cherished together in the old days.
One day, Betty met and later started dating her lifelong partner: Jessie Joe Ellis. The two meeting in 1961, spending their teen years together, later marrying in 1964. Joe had left Betty to go off to the military in 1965, later returning to the love of his life in 1967. They spent their years together, making friendships that would last a lifetime, attending events, making memories we now all cherish.
The two moved from Dallas Fort Worth to Buttonwillow Ca to start their lives together as a married couple. In 1972 they had their first child Orlando
Jerome Ellis (BIGS), to provide for her son, she went to work with her husband
in the cotton department. Betty spent 34 years doing cotton samples she was known as the hard worker with a feisty mouth. Bringing her second child into this world Diana Ellis, the mother and daughter duo you could always find them at Walmart spending up Joes money. They would spend all afternoon out
shopping,eating, laughing and talking, just out doing all kinds of things, the two certainly had a bond that Diana now holds and cherishes with her forever.
Betty was super excited to find out that she was going to be a granny in 2000 to Diesha Danielle Page. While Betty was working over the years Diesha would also go to work with her, riding around on her bike named faithful. Diesha would give Betty a hard time laying in cotton treys crying, running around and just acting up. Not only was she a hard worker she was a great housewife with her little helper Muff. They both would spend the afternoon cooking a meal for Joe, so he could have a good dinner to come home to.
Over the years, we have all spent with Betty listening to Blues, Drinking, Laughing and smiling. she now leaves her husband, Jessie Joe Ellis. Her daughter Diana Ellis, and two granddaughters; Diesha Page, Dinita Bates (Muff), also two great grandchildren; Honesty Avyanna Grinner and Justice Kay Grinner.
May she rest in peace and now we will cherish her life and remember her in
our hearts.
