Austin Daniel, 92,went home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2014. Austin was the 2nd son born to Jeff and Louise Daniel on May 17, 1922 in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Austin was loved by all who knew him. His humility and faith in the Lord are an enduring legacy he leaves for his family to treasure. He loved to read his Bible and talk to the Lord. He proudly served his county during WWII in the Pacific Theater. His dedication and bravery earned him the Bronze Star in the Battle of Mindanao. One of his fondest memories was his trip to Washington, D.C. in April 2010 as part of Honor Flight to see many memorials to the US Military heroes, both fallen and living. For many years Austin was part of a coffee group that met regularly at Southwest Lanes coffeeshop. Bill and Bunky, you meant alot to him!! Austin was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers LJ, Billy and Kenny, and his sister Margie. Left to remember his loving and caring nature is the love of his life, his wife Pat. He also leaves behind children Edward (Gloria), Dwayne (Pat), Kathy (Barry) and Michael. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brothers Rudy and Bobby. Austin’s love and his life as a positive role model will be celebrated at a graveside memorial service on September 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Rest in peace dad, you are finally at the end of the river and at home with the Lord.
