No words can express how missed she will be by her daughter Rileigh, parents Mark and Karen Gardner, and sister and best friend Kayla Gardner. Amanda also leaves behind her grandmother Velma Weese, grandparents Lloyd and Geri Holman, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and tons of friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Ruby Holman, great grandmother Stella “Lucille” Holder and grandfather Charles Weese.
Amanda was born and raised in Bakersfield. She graduated from Foothill High School in 2003. She went on to get her cosmetology license. She had built a clientele with her niche being hair color and extensions. One of her talents included creative make-up. At Halloween time she could create works of art on a face that she used as her canvas.
She had many interests that included softball, hunting, music, horses, barrel racing, and animals; especially dogs. Amanda was raised around horses and dogs, which nurtured her passion for raising dogs specifically the breed Dogo Argentino. Amanda will be forever remembered for her distinctive hardy laugh, beautiful big smile, sarcastic personality, nails, long hair, trips to the beach, her lifted black truck, and her "with a side of sliced avocados, please". She was the happiest being with Rileigh, hanging out with family, friends, and her dogs. A get-together was not complete without Amanda and her laugh. We thank God for the time we had with Amanda; it was just not long enough. She leaves us with a void that will never be filled.
Thank you is not enough for all the prayers, food, visits, and communications from family and friends.
