Aaron Kirschenmann

Aaron was born in Bakersfield, California to William and Rachel Kirschenmann. William farmed in Shafter and Cuyama. When Aaron was 17, his dad passed away and Aaron began his career as a farmer. In 1949, he married Elaine Klaudt, and they raised four children. He continued farming for nearly 40 years, in Shafter, McFarland, and in the Edison area, until he retired in 1985. Aaron was one of the first area growers to plant almonds, in 1952, and later grew cotton, oranges, and kiwi fruit. During that time, he also owned Central California Equipment Company until 1969, and was in Real Estate in Santa Maria.

In 1992, Aaron married his second wife, Patricia, and in his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, compiling his extensive family genealogy, and their trips to Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, England, and Hawaii. Always needing to keep busy, in 1988 he started Dynaworld Telephonics, a payphone company, which he ran until 2006.

Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rachel, and sister, Rose.

Aaron is survived by his first wife, Elaine, and their children and grandchildren: Gail Kirschenmann of Hayward, CA; Carol Kirschenmann; Glen Kirschenmann and son Andrew; and Dennis Kirschenmann and wife Debbie, and their children Kristin and Ryan, all of Bakersfield, California.

Aaron is also survived by his loving wife for the past 19 years, Patricia, and her children and grandchildren: daughter Lynn, and husband Steve Coleman and their sons, Mat Coleman, and Eric Coleman and wife Lindsay; and Chris Nelson and wife Bekki, and their children Jacob and Aubrey, all of Bakersfield, California.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 8, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. at Mish Funeral Home, 120 Minner Ave. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
