Vincent A. Fantauzzi, born on October 21, 1947, to Loreto and Maria Fantauzzi, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Antonia Fantauzzi, who preceded him in death on November 23, 2022. Vincent leaves behind his cherished children, Vincent and Laura, his son-in-law, Domnick, and six loving grandchildren: Nicholas, Matthew, Isabella, Vincent, Andrew, and Anna.
Vincent was one of four brothers: Ben, Anthony, and Joseph. Throughout his life, Vincent shouldered the role of patriarch with grace. He remained a pillar of strength and love, a guiding force for the entire family.
Vincent graduated from Lehman College, served in the National Guard, and excelled in the corporate real estate industry, earning recognition as the “On-site Manager of the Year” by REBNY in 2004. Following the tragedy of 9/11, Vincent served as a past president of BOMA New York and received the Humanity Award for his contributions to the NYC business community.
Vincent lived his life true to the lyrics of his favorite song, Frank Sinatra’s “My Way”. This iconic song reflected his independent spirit and a life lived with determination and authenticity.
In his leisure time, Vincent enjoyed the beach, dry vodka martinis with no less than three olives, and sharing a good cigar with family and friends.
A celebration of Vincent’s life will take place on Wednesday, September 20 from 2:00 - 4:30 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm, at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 West Main Street, Babylon, NY11702. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Wounded Warrior Project.
Vincent’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed. May he find eternal peace alongside his beloved Antonia, and may his memory continue to bless the lives of all those who hold him so dear to their hearts.
