Born on January 21, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York, Thomas was a beacon of wisdom and warmth throughout his life. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan T. Colletti, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised two devoted daughters, Kristen Cannetti (John) and Nicole Baxter (Timothy). Thomas was also a proud and adoring Pop to his four grandchildren, Teddy, Hope, Emmy, and Aiden.
Thomas’s career in education was marked by his roles as a Director of Human Resources, a principal, an assistant principal, Social Studies Chairperson, and a teacher. His passion for nurturing young minds and shaping their futures was evident in every role he undertook. His commitment to his profession was matched only by his dedication to his family.
Thomas was the beloved brother of Darryl Colletti and is survived by his father, Vito Colletti. He was predeceased by his mother, Gloria Colletti.
Outside of his professional life, Thomas enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought him great joy. He loved spending time with Susan and his grandchildren, indulged in traveling to Naples, Florida, and found solace in watching his favorite sports teams—the Yankees, Giants, and Rangers.
Thomas's legacy is one of love, dedication, and a deep commitment to both his family and his work. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A mass of christian burial will occur Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 39 N Carll Ave, Babylon, NY 11702. A burial will occur Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Livingston Ave, Babylon, NY 11702.
