He was surrounded by the love of his family and the memories of a life well-lived. Salvatore, known affectionately as Sal, leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished moments.
Born to Giovanni and Stella, raised in the lower east side of Manhattan alongside his beloved siblings, Joe and Angela( who have both sadly predeceased him). Sal's roots ran deep in the heart of New York City. He served his country with honor during the Korean War with the United States Army.
Salvatore served the city he loved as a New York City sanitation worker, contributing to the well-being of his community with pride and dedication. Later, he was a dedicated barber, using his skills to bring joy and confidence to his clients.
Salvatore shared 38 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved Marianne, a partnership built on love, trust, and unwavering support. Together, they raised a family filled with love and laughter, including their children John(who preceded him in death), Stella (Joseph), Al, and Camille. Salvatore's role as a father was marked by his reliability, humor, and steadfast presence—a beacon of strength for his family through every triumph and challenge. Sal was also a proud grandfather to Marianne(Rentao), Stephanie (Patrick), and great-grandfather Gabriel, Elliana, and Isla.

Solid like a rock and full of life, his infectious humor and zest for life brightened the days of everyone around him. His legacy of love and tenacity will continue to echo through the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Though Salvatore may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories he created and the lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with his loved ones who have gone before him. Forever in our hearts, Salvatore's memory will continue to inspire and uplift us all.
