I’ve just heard the news of Bob’s passing. What a blessing to have known him my entire life. Always smiling, always great to talk to and always such a great sense of humor. No matter if we saw him once a year, we could easily catch up and talk easily as if no time had passed. 

The world is a better place having had him so long in this world.

May he rest in peace, rejoined with his loving wife Kathie who we also miss.

My best hugs are being sent to his family today to help carry their sadness during this difficult time. We will always remember Bob fondly.

My deepest condolences to the Howard family. I have nothing but good memories growing up a few houses down from Mr. And Mrs. Howard, Jean, Michael, and Kathleen. Watching Mr. Howard go on his runs, and I specifically could not wait for Christmas time and when he would put his trains around the tree. He alwqys made time to talk to a curious kid, when I would ask him about the MG in his garage. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Bob has left us with wonderful memories from all the footage of our relations both in USA and Ireland down through the years.  We are forever grateful for his records of families through the generations which are lovely to share with our families.  Although many miles away we will be with you on Friday for Mass.

Sorry for your loss I grew up a couple of houses away in the '80s he was always such a nice man to me

I served in the Air Force with Bob. He was a great officer and pilot, and has been my good friend for decades. I have some good stories and memories of our time together. However, we shared one tough memory. I was the pilot of the other plane when Bob and I had a mid-air collision over the Florida Everglades. There are few survivors of mid-airs so we were both very lucky. God meant for us to survive.

Bob, you rascal, you did your second 13-turn spin from an altitude of 12 turns! This time it turned out much better!  You pulled 7 Gs 
in a tight turn through the Pearly Gates, made a really smooth power-on landing and came to a full stop at the foot of God’s throne. 
God said, “Great to see you, Bob. Your Dad lives over on Cloud 9. He’s been looking forward to doing aerobatics around Heaven  with you in a T-28.”

Bob, I am sad you are not here but so glad you were a part of my life. Hopefully, you and I can go flying together again!
