Philip J. Gomez of Babylon, New York passed after a brief illness. Beloved husband to Maryann. Phil was a proud United States Marine, specializing as Avionics Electronics Technician. While serving he was awarded with the National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal with Star, Good Conduct Medal and Sharp Shooter Badge.
Phil retired from Aeroflex as an Electrical Engineer after a lengthy career. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 94 for over 40 years holding different positions at a department level as well as district and the county level.
Phil is survived by his wife Maryann of 54 years. He also leaves behind many other family members as well as friends that became his family.

A visitation for Philip will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Following the visitation will be a burial from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at North Babylon Cemetery, Livingston Ave, Babylon, NY 11702.
