Nora was born in Brooklyn, New York to her late parents, Santo and Minnie LaValle (nee Langone). She met her beau and future husband, Thomas DeRosa in Brooklyn and they married in 1957. For a time they remained in Brooklyn, moved to Staten Island in 1965 and came to Lindenhurst in 2000. Nora enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends.
Surviving is her beloved family - her children - Thomas and daughter-in-law, Margaret, Ronald and daughter-in-law, Marge, and Nora and son-in-law, Mike; her grandchildren - Alison (Kevin), Meghan, Thomas (Laura), Natalie (Anthony) Kristina (Tim), Marina and Santo; and her 13 great grandchildren, Timothy, Kevin, Faith, Ronnie, Kayla, Brooke, Michael, Olivia, Anthony, Derek, Luke, Ezekiel and Quincy. Nora is predeceased by her husband, Thomas, her grandsons Michael Caiazzo and Nicholas Caiazzo, her brother, Sonny LaValle and her sister, Forchy Pinnachiao.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Sunday, January 21st for visitation from 2:00 - 4:30 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Babylon, followed by interment at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
