Michael has left an incredible legacy for us all to follow.  He was a mentor to me, a leader, a trusted friend.  I am grateful to have had him in my life for over three decades.   All of us who knew him were blessed.  He was an inspiration.  Rest in peace, beloved friend.

Dad I miss you already I was not ready to let you go. I feel like I still need my Dad, you will always be in my heart because I never want to let go of your memory

Michael has been a friend, a mentor and a source of inspiration for me for over 31 years. He so often had some wonderful words of wisdom to share to help me and others through our early nicovery. I particularly recall a quote from "Dune" by Frank Herbert that Michael would relate to our cravings for nicotine wherein fear (aka the craving) would enter us and pass through us, leaving us free to continue on. 
He did so much service for our fellowship, for the numerous Long Island meetings he attended and for so many of our members. We will miss his wisdom, his sense of humor and his friendship. May God rest his soul and bless all in his wonderful family that he loved so much.

Many times when I meant to stop by and give you a collection of papers that I saved from when  you were Danny's and Michael's coach.  I wanted to tell you thank you for making my children that clubhouse. I was amazed and touched that you would do something so nice for a neighbor.  I enjoyed being  your neighbor and I want to thank you for all the good things you did for my family.   I never forgot  and I will always remember.   You will be missed Michael.

My condolences to all who experienced and cared for Michael B. Michael and I became friends during our intergroup’s annual retreats, Clean in the Catskills. I visited with him at his home. Michael, Nick, and I had a 10 hr. bro-drive to a NAWS conference in Ohio, and back to NY. Any time with Michael was always filled with meaningful conversation and plenty of laughs. Michael’s kindness and compassion was comforting like a big teddy bear. His love of our fellowship was valued and inspiring. We worked well together on intergroup and NAWS service activities. I appreciated I could depend on him to help.  None of us are saints, but Michael was certainly a good man I respected for all the good he did for others. He will be missed, but I will maintain memories and my gratitude for the times we shared.

I’m so sad to learn of Michael’s passing. Haven’t spoken to him in a number of years but he was so kind and genuine and sincere.  He was ALWAYS there if you needed him. So wise and so generous. Every time he spoke I learned something new.  Grateful I knew him. My deepest condolences to his family who he loved dearly.

Michael was quite a wonderful man and was very instrumental in getting me out of my shell.  He taught me how to become a team player and use the skills I have developed.  Working with him was a gift I’m extremely grateful to have experienced,  sending love and peace to everyone whose heart he touched!

I’ve been thinking of what to write. Michael and I went to my prom together. We use to meet up alot to go dancing in Bay Shore. It was always a great night.  We always seem to navigate to one another. 

Then life always gets in the way.  He was a great Dad and Grandad. He would always tell me of his travels with Nicole and family.   He enjoyed every trip and time with them  

He was loved and will be missed by all!! Love ya!

Michael’s smile & willingness to be of service to others was a gift, as was his ability to 
write.  

I am grateful that he shared his gifts with so many. 

May his memory be a blessing for his family & friends.
