

Lillian Kopsky was born on December 28, 1930, at South Nassau Community Hospital in Oceanside, NY. Her parents were Mary Agnes Kenney and John Greaney. They lived on Lexington Avenue in Freeport, NY. She was a sister to John, James, William, and Mary Agnes Greaney, beloved wife to William Kopsky Sr. (deceased), and cherished mother to Maureen Oumano (Alan-Deceased), Ann Marie Gorman (George), William Jr. (deceased) (Jean), Andrew (deceased) (Adriana), James Kopsky and Timothy Kopsky. Devoted Grandma to Michael Oumano (Eliza), Emily Oumano, Matthew Gorman (Brittany), Bridget Pomilla (Kristopher), Thomas Gorman (Jennifer), Whitney Kopsky, Theresa Kopsky, William Kopsky, Alexandra Kopsky, Nikolas Kopsky, and Nicole Kopsky. Adored Great Grandmother to Alexandra, Emersyn, Michael, & Gabrielle Oumano, Lyla & ALessia Pomilla, Mannix Kopsky, & Roman Soltes.
Lillian was a devoted Catholic. She attended Holy Redeemer Elementary School in Freeport, NY. Graduated from Queen of the Rosary High School in Amityville, NY. Lillian loved the beach and was a member of the Jones Beach Synchronized Swimmers during high school. Her sister, Mary and she enrolled in training at Our Lady of Victory Infant Home, Lackawanna, NY. Lillian worked in Infant Care at the Angel Guardian Home in Brooklyn, NY, Mercy Hospital, Rockville Centre, NY, and retired from Nassau County Medical Center, East Meadow, NY. When she retired she enjoyed spending time with all of her family and celebrating birthdays and holidays.
A visitation for Lillian will be held Monday, June 26, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. A visitation will occur Monday, June 26, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 455 Hunter Ave, West Islip, New York 11795. An interment will occur Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, New York 11933.
