Papa you have had one of the biggest influences on my life and I am forever thankful for everything you have done for me and the family.  All the trips to Trout Lake were absolutely perfect bringing the closest family I’ve ever seen even closer as the years passed. These past 8 years have been a blessing and the family you created is absolutely precious and you will forever have a special place in my heart.

On 12/24/2024 my heart was broken due to the loss of my brother Lenny. There are so many memories and stories that bring laughter, smiles and proud moments that they could never be just put down on a sheet of paper. 
In my  early teenage years Lenny began to take me under his wing. He used to bring me to the neighborhood movie theater and narrated those films I was watching for the first time. One time he tried to calm me with funny jokes when a gory Count Dracula scared me so much even the movie matron came over to check on me. 
We’d watch movies on TV such as the originals King Kong, Godzilla and Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein during which he put in his own storylines and commentary with hilarious results. Dramas became comedies. 
I’ll certainly never forget the TV westerns he got me hooked on including the theme songs that I still know the lyrics of and can even sing. Of course some of the songs were reworded by him which usually got everyone laughing. 
He introduced me to the great songs of the 50’s and 60’s which I still love and sing along today. 
Every time we went to my grandparents house Lenny always rearranged their photo displays to make sure his was in front.  To this day I wonder if they figured it out since the rearrangement only happened when we visited them.  His pranks and jokes remain legendary. 
As we grew older Lenny was always just a phone call away for financial advice, discussing taxes or sometimes just to talk. He’d come running to my aid if I needed him, especially with helping me with our Mom. 
Lenny led his life with fun, laughter, integrity and strength. He became a dedicated family man whose family now continues to carry on his attributes as a legacy for us to enjoy. 

RIP my Best Friend and Brother until we meet again to continue our next journey.

Papa you have always been one of my biggest supporters and I am forever thankful for the time I had with you. Thank you for all the Trout Lake trips that were so much fun, bringing this family even closer than they already were year by year.  You created a beautiful family with a ton of love for one another and I’m so happy you now get to be a guardian angel for not only me but the entire family. You fought so hard and even in your last breath I’ve never seen someone fight with such passion and you  will forever have a special place in my heart.

My name is Josette, a friend of Lenny since I was 7 years old. Growing up with Lenny was an adventure filled with laughter ,mischief and fun. He was always a teaser and his sense of humor was incredible.
In his teen years, he was extra cute and looked like Tony Curtis with his pompadour hair style. I enjoyed his amazing hugs.
He was crazy about Cookie from the time we were little kids. He only had eyes for her. His heart was kind and true
Lenny was the mentor to his family and especially enjoyed the summer vacations with the children. They gave him great pride and joy.

My husband Al and I can't thank Lenny enough for his hospitality, kindness and love. We treasured our time with him and he will be sadly missed.  Forever in our thoughts and prayers.
Our loss is God's gain.

I’ve struggled to find the words but I don’t think words will ever be able to truly captivate the person that you were. Papa you’ve embodied what it means to be a humble, selfless, loving person. You’ve laid forth the foundation that I strive to build my family off of one day. Your kind soul never failed to fill a room with laughter and joy. Your love for Nanie filled your house with such safety and comfort. I had the privilege to learn about your love story from the beginning while Nanie and I held your hands over the last couple weeks. I pray to experience a love as beautiful as yours. 

I will forever cherish your smiley face pancakes, your honey balls, our yearly trips to Lake George, and scratching your back the most. I am forever blessed to be your granddaughter. Although you’re no longer here with us, I know I’ve gained the most perfect guardian angel. 

Nothing will ever will be able to fill the void I already have in my heart but I find comfort that you are suffering no more. Thank you fighting as long as you did. Words will never be able to express how grateful I am that you are my PaPa. I love you forever ❤️

   I am happy your suffering is over but extremely sad you are no longer physically here with us. The moment you took your last breath we instantly started missing you. We know you are our “angel” up above and will still be taking care of all of us. Dad I always admired your strong faith and your love for your family. I also admired your relationship with mom. We were truly blessed to have you as our role model . Thanks for all of the good memories we now hold close to our hearts.  I promise to take  good care of mom .You will never be forgotten. Papa, you were the most inspirational person in my life. Every single day you set the perfect example of how to be an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. I will always look up to the man you were and the way you put family first no matter what. You were the funniest person I knew and never failed to make any of us laugh. Between singing in the car, making your smiley face pancakes, taking the whole family to Trout Lake every summer, and giving us all endless love. I will forever cherish all of my memories with you. I am so grateful and proud to be able to say that you are my grandfather. You showed exactly how strong you were over these last eight years, you never stopped fighting and i will always admire your strength. Your toughness allowed us to have eight extra years together and I couldn’t be more blessed. I will always try my hardest to follow in your footsteps and leave an impact on others the way you did. I am so sad that you are no longer with us, but i know you are watching over all of us and smiling at the amazing family you built. Thank you for everything you’ve done for us all. Dad, You have been one of the most instrumental people in my life. I started coming over to the house as a goofy 17 year old kid, not really knowing much of anything (even though I thought I knew everything). We had an instant connection - I laughed at all of your jokes. Through out the years you lived out the true meanings of being a man of faith, being a devoted and loving husband, a committed father and grandfather, a caring and compassionate son and being a true friend. After all of these years, I can truly say thank you for teaching me what it means to be not just a man but a good and honorable man. I already miss you. Will love you forever.

Papa, it’s difficult to put into words what you have meant to me and the rest of the family. Growing up, I always looked forward to seeing you and Nanie, knowing there were lots of fun and laughs to be had. From listening to your hilarious stories and countless jokes to shooting pool and playing catch, I was always happiest when with you. As I grew older, I realized you were much more than a fun grandfather- you were a selfless, disciplined, and faithful man who would do anything for the wellbeing and happiness of your family. You were an amazing role model and I will strive to hold myself to the same standards you held yourself to. I can’t thank you enough for everything you have done and the memories you have left us with. I love you so much.

I lost a piece of myself on Christmas Eve, someone that I love the most and someone that impacted my life the most. I will forever cherish every memory and moment I got with you papa. You were the most caring and selfless person I know. I wish that I got one more day with you and I hope you knew how much I love you and how much the rest of the family and I appreciated everything that you did for us, from lake George trips and your smiley face pancakes, making us laugh and showing us unconditional love. Dad, there are no words.... our hearts are broken.  I can't thank you and mom enough for welcoming me into your life 27 years ago.  I've always felt like I was one of your own. Dad, you were always there. You were one of those men who did not have to speak to get your message across. Instead, your message was loud and clear through your actions. Put your head down, get to work,  let others speak,  be very selective when you speak, and when you decide to do something, do it right.  Always be careful what you ask for.  When the work is done, be with family, be goofy, annoy the girls, annoy them a bit more, take the consequences of annoying them,  and always look out for the young ones. 
We are very much alike, totally different in other ways.  I knew how to push your buttons, and you knew how to push mine.  Making you proud has always been one of my deepest motivations.  
Love you always and forever. And please know that I will always  carry your name with pride.

A man of unwavering strength and quiet wisdom, Papa lived a life grounded in love, integrity, and a deep sense of duty to his family. His kindness touched everyone who knew him, and his stories, often filled with humor and lessons, will be cherished by all who listened. Papa always made time to share his knowledge and offer guidance. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of devotion and compassion. Rest in peace Papa, our family loves you so much and we will forever appreciate everything you’ve done for us. You always put every single member of our family infront of yourself and took such good care of us. You are such a strong sole, you never gave up for a second over the last 8 years. If there was one man who could’ve beat cancer I genuinely thought it would’ve been you. In the end you gave cancer one hell of a fight and gave your family so many memorable years and moments. I miss you so much already papa, from your songs in the car to being around the fire at trout lake. We will always be in your debt papa, we love you so much.

My grandfather (papa) has been the biggest part of my life. We shared so many laughs together. Growing up he used to take me to play handball and racket ball with him, I would do anything to get moments like that back. From early rides to the beach just to play some handball, or, even just sitting inside the house watching an old movie. Papa I love you and will forever miss you!

I will forever remember Mr. Caltabiano as a wonderful dad of my best friend (Donna)  as we attended SJB together.

Losing my papa was one of the hardest things i have ever gone through. I will always remember the day you came to my classroom for my birthday, trout lake trips, smiley pancakes and eating jack apples in the mornings i would be over at the house. i’ll cherish all of our memories together and love you forever ❤️

My heart is broken. Life will never be the same without you. You were the best dad and grandfather to my kids. You were the rock of this family, a true hero. You will be missed forever.
