Krista Burke

Krista Burke, age 53, of Amityville, New York passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. She is survived by her fiance and partner of 22 years Michael Deyhle, Mother; Eileen White, and sister Kerin Albano-Altman. Krista loved traveling with Michael, such as on anniversary trips to Pennsylvania, and Mystic; vacations to visit family in Tennessee and Nevada, and seeing the sights in Ireland, Scotland, Florida, and California. When she wasn't traveling, she was hiking, swimming, exploring, going to festivals, and rooting for the Rangers and Mets. Krista was a collector, which included Star Wars memorabilia, Barbies, and beautiful memories with friends. Movie-going: from Star Wars, superhero movies, Harry Potter, Wizard of Oz/Wicked, National Lampoons, Caddyshack, Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, James Bond, Labyrinth, and Godfather Trilogy, and listening to music like Prince, David Bowie, U2, Sting & The Police, The Beatles, Sam Cooke and The Cure to name a few. Krista will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved her.

Krista was predeceased by her Father Triantafyllos Kabanelos and cat Patrick.

A funeral mass for Krista will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 455 Hunter Ave, West Islip, New York 11795. Following the funeral mass will be a visitation from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
